Semblanza

En la Historia y en los archivos solo quedan los retratos de los vencedores. Entre fotografías familiares, material fílmico y televisivo, Semblanza investiga la figura olvidada de Carlos Caro, político peronista y bon vivant salteño, uno de los protagonistas de una parte opaca y borrosa de la historia de Salta. Proponiendo un cruce entre el documental, la investigación y la ficción, está búsqueda íntima reconstruye un periodo en el cual la política y la esperanza se vieron atravesados por la violencia y el olvido. Una película que retrata a un soñador que se embarcó en una cruzada herzogiana  atrás de un objetivo, ser gobernador de la provincia.

Synopsis

In history and in the archives, only the portraits of the victors remain. Through family photographs, film and television footage, Semblanza investigates the forgotten figure of Carlos Caro — a Peronist politician and Salteño bon vivant — one of the protagonists of a blurred and opaque chapter in Salta’s history. Blending documentary, research, and fiction, this intimate search reconstructs a period in which politics and hope were marked by violence and oblivion. A film that portrays a dreamer who embarked on a Herzogian crusade in pursuit of a single goal: to become governor of the province.
